My Curtiss model D is finally almost complete. I stripped off the film covering and replaced with cub yellow oracover. It's a beautiful accent to the supplied black framework, and was easier to do than it may sound. I did find the perfect 3D printed pilot from Realmodelpilots in their early aviator section. I'm also adding a scale OX-5 motor kit to hide the electric brushless and add that extra bit of scale. Arizonans model aircrafters makes a 1/6 scale kit which though the model is touted as 1/9 scale....actually is more 1/7, at least by my calculations. And the1/7 scale pilot fits perfectly. I expect to test fly in September. Truly looking forward to getting this beautiful models in the air!
