AMA Expo 2012

Online exclusive videos and photos. Interviews highlighting new products and features.

The 2012 AMA Expo was held this year, January 6-8, in Ontario, California. A broad range of vendors and manufacturers filled the Ontario Convention Center, showcasing their latest product offerings. The flying area was bustled with activity as sponsored pilots demonstrated products that could safely be enjoyed in the indoor venue.

Rockets and rubber band-powered gliders were available for kids to construct with the assistance of volunteers. The young glider builders were eager to put their creations to the test in the Free Flight area. After a few test flights, the young aviators competed in duration contests for prizes.

Several guest speakers provided insight on the ways modeling has influenced their careers and provided a much-needed break after walking the show floor.

AMA Executive Council members and AMA employees were on hand to greet attendees and answer questions. The FAA had representatives present for a question-and-answer session that was open to all members on Saturday.

The 2012 AMA Expo proved to be a success with increased attendance and positive feedback from vendors and attendees. Plans are already underway for next year’s event which will be held January 11-13, 2013, at the Ontario Convention Center.
