Maker Media and The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan hosted Maker Faire Detroit July 26-27, 2014. More than 400 makers displayed their ideas and innovations during this two-day festival. This is a family friendly celebration of technology, science, arts, and engineering.

The Academy of Model Aeronautics sponsored Maker Faire Detroit and provided a flight simulator for guests to try their hand at model flying. Model Aviation's Editor-in-Chief Jay Smith attended the festivities. Enjoy event coverage below.
